I love keeping in touch with my former colleagues. I think the best thing to do is to make a list of those colleagues that you really have enjoyed working with, and are you in touch with them or linked in? Some colleagues ve been such great friends of yours, i would include them on facebook as well. And e use social media to connect with them and comment and like their posts and remember their birthdays. So pull up your socks, as they say here near in australia, and don't worry about your gap.
