Pulmonary embolism is seven to 10 times more common in pregnancy than an aged matched non-pregnant women. If you suspect PE in a pregnant patient, I would get the CT scan if it's indicated. Most patients who are pregnant have a really trusting good relationship with their OB. You don't need to do anything differently when preparing for cardiac arrest as soon as it starts.
