The trouble conscience does not need an excuse or an accusation. It needs Christ alone. What he wants you not to do is to trust in your own righteousness. The devil uses the law to drive you away from the promises of God, from the obedience of Christ to our own obedience. And so then what happens is that a who song? You better. You better. Mm hmm.
