The Evolution of Abstract Art

I'm curious like I've always been a very representational artist. However for myself I don't know if I'm flawed or if I'm too much of a left brain right brain that I can't make sense of abstract art to create it myself. You know maybe someone just enjoys the paintings and slowly starts to kind of think about what's happening inside of the paintings  and can unravel some of those different interests that I have besides just how they look.
