Pyramids of the Third Dynasty
No other third dynasty pharaoh succeeded in building a pyramid of his own. The first ruler of the fourth dynasty, sneferu, actually built no one, not two, but three different pyramids over the course of his long reign. His first monument was planned as a seven stepped pyramid. It would have stood about 85 meters high,. 280 feet, about a third, again, as high as joseph's if it had been completed.
