How to Get Rid of a Bad Habit
A commitment device is a tool that we use to create constraints or penalties for ourselves when we don't follow through on a behavioror change plan. We're really used to other people imposing these kinds of constraintsd and fines on us for bad behaviour, but it's little unnatural to think about doing it for yourself. There are web sites that let you do this sort of thing where you can put money on the line that you'll forfeit if you fail to achieve a goal. And declare a referee or, you know, actually monitor your progress with Am stick dot com and b minder.
