Machen's 'Itinerant' Preaching
Machen was a delegate to the 1920 General Assembly of the Northern Church. He saw that an organic union would dilute what little doctrine they, you know, were holding on to. So really, he hadn't had a lot of denominational involvement prior to 1920. When he jumped into the Presbyterian ministry, he jumped in with both feet.
