Apoleus: A Woman Interpretation of Psyche
I like to riff on and pull in other sources as well. CS Lewis's Till We Have Faces is another retelling of the Eros and Psyche myth from the perspective of Psyche's sister. So I was like, hey, Psyche's already doing these heroic labors. What if I draw in some of that? And so I shifted the prophecy from Apoleus that Psyche would marry a monster to the prophecy thatPsyche would conquer a monster.
