The Lover of Wisdom Is the Finest Judge Among the Three Men
The wealthy man is honoured by many, and so were the courageous man and the wise one. Therefore all have experience of the kinds of pleasure that come from being honoured. But the kind of pleasure connected with the vision of what is cannot be tasted by any one except the lover of wisdom. A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is.
