The BBC's Scam Interceptors
Scam interceptors work with an ethical hacker. He allows himself to be a victim of scammers, and then he uses his ethical hacking techniques to gain access to their scam call centres. We can sometimes even see them. And we can actually contact the people who they're trying to scam. The view is that what they're doing is so awful that it's in the public interest for us to stop them.
