Is Proust a Good Writer?
Every sentence has a particular sort of rhythm to it. It takes about three pages once you get used to the cadence then you slip into those sentences and they become almost yours. You are looking into his world but at the same time he's making you look at your own world and ultimately at yourself. I was trying to think of one fairly recent writer whose style might be comparable or somewhat similar as Javier Maria's though his subject matter is obviously very different. No not as good as necessarily I just meant that the kind of length and the intricacy and the digressions is really what I meant.
