At the beginning of the ighteen sixties, literary critic like a angelrama wanted to develop a new way of thinking about the literature in yoregion as being something beyond national boundaries. So i started to read works by garciamarcesn by some of his contemporaries,. as not simply being works of columbian literature. And that was also very important, because garcia marcues was reading what these critics were actually writing and then he realized maybe this is how I need to conceive my works. He consciously then tried to write 100 solitude as something that was also latin american.
