I would encourage any young man to join a fraternity if you go to college, because it took a 30,000 foot 30,000 person community and it shrank it down to something manageable for me. I didn't grow up with siblings. My father wasn't around. Young men, there are now neighborhoods where there are no men. Especially in black neighborhoods, because of incarceration rates and male abandonment. And so this absence of men, this absence of male role models, he becomes immediately twice as likely to be incarcerated. So this numbing of America, this loneliness epidemic, and this lack ofmale role models, I think is a big deal.
