How Much Scope Do You Need to Anchor a Boat?
When you set an anchor, you need some amount of scope for tide swing. Scope is the angle of the line. And sometimes they'll anchor stuff where it's actually a seven to one. For every foot of depth, you have seven feet. So at any given time, how big is the diameter? What sort of diameter are you swinging above the fixed point of the anchor?
