The idea of a rappler actually grew out of our work in aasibia, the largest broadcasting network in the philippines. I managed about a thousand journalists in those six years i headed that mase group. The reach, both in terms of influence and reach, literally was global. It was to build communities of action. And the food we feed our communities is journalism. That's amazing.
