If you do two hours a day of reading aloud, plus one to two hours a. day of personal audio book listening, let's just call it eight hours a day. That seems pretty normal to me, probably the most home schoolers I know, right? Reading 10 to 20 million words a year is probably an average for children who are given freedom and encouragement.
