Mount Shasta, California's Mystic Mountain

Mount shasta has been called the keystone of california nery and california's mount fuji. There is evidence of indigenous groups living in the area as far back as forty 500 years. The name shasti solidified in 18 50, but before that, it was known invariably as shast shast, chast, chasty and chasty - or nasty chasty.
