The Idea of Virtue and Ethics in the American Public Sphere
One big theme is talking about the moral character of the society in which we live. And i think this is a really interesting theme, a kind of bringing out the kind of conversation about virtue and ethics. In contrast to narratives that have become increasingly more influential and even a kind of common sense in the american public sphere, like aphro pessimism. The last thing that i i thought was important was the idea of imagination and what it does for us in being able to imagine the future. I'll just say, i'll maybe say more about this later, that i think that we've got to be able to Imagine the future and have some hope and faith in it.
