Desmond, you were surveyor of the queen's pictures for a number of years. Can you tell us about that roll? What did it entail? Yes, that's an ancient roll founded by charles the first. It's responsible for looking after the entire collection of painting in the roy collection. So if it was a museum, it would be like chief curator of paintings. And remember that it's everything, everywhere, in royal residences.
