The Death of Dr. Gavorkian

Dr. Gavorkian was born May 26, 1928 in Pontiac, Michigan. His parents were Armenian refugees who fled to the U.S. during World War II. The Ottoman Empire allied with Germany and felt that Armenians posed a threat of allying with Christian-gavoured countries like Russia. What followed was an all-out assault on the Armenian population. Prisoners were released and armed, told to kill any Armenian they came across. They were pillaged, raping of women, torching of homes, murders of offspring,. then a death march for the rest into the Syrian desert.
