The 90s were a decade when the latest wave of globalization really happened. Governments adopted the formula, if you remember, before it was Smith Abroad, Keynes at home. It became all Smith. So we've increased competition on everybody but those handpicked capitalists. Everybody's position became more precarious. The unemployed suffer because they cannot get into the labor market.
