Rabbi Joey Rosenfeld: There's a certain element in anxiety that when a person has something good going for them or when things are going well, so there's an anticipatory fear over when that thing is going to fall apart. This feeds very much into the phenomenon of self-fulfilling prophecy where an individual has a conception, a belief, a fantasy as to what is going to happen. When it happens, they say, oh, I knew it all along, this was always going to happen," he says.
