The Rise and Fall of Computer Models

The process of building a computer model back in the 1950s and 60s was very arcane compared to today. Mainframe machines actually, these were fed to the main computers. And then a day or so later, you would get the output. So it's a very, very different world in that sense. But basically, there was a rise and fall of these sorts of models in the 1960s. By the 1970s, lots of other things have come onto the agenda.
