Joshua: For someone who is pursuing financial independence, we're probably not going to make as much as we may create now. So taxes are a huge deal, and if you can minimize them, then you're going to be able to meet your goals much sooner. He says he would rather have the tax break now and have more of my money working for me than put it in a Roth and then get that nice tax-free withdrawal later on a lesser amount of total money.
