Why Do You Choose Stand Up Writing Over Writing?

Cheryl Strayed once made this distinction I saw between writing and publishing, which I really like. And writing is the thing that ultimately is sort of up to me and only I can do. This is a stand up. You could change that with stand up. So why would you choose the other? Why do you like the difficult thing?I just was, Val and I just had lunch. Where we going, what are we doing? Is comfort really the goal, whatever it is?
