The Pixar IPO and the New Deal

In 1997, Pixar and Disney renegotiated their agreement at that time. They agreed to do a 10 year, five film deal. In that deal, Pixar would receive 50% of the profits from the films. Bugs ended up being a bugs life, which would come out in 1998. It broke the record for a Thanksgiving weekend film opening in the United States.
