Hedless religious back on was extremely important once he had grown up. It's quite clear that hitler was, at best, a gnostic. He didn't believe in christianity in that sense. But ther thing more to his religious upbringing than whether or not he was a believer or a disbeliever. When he can have invented or re invented his past, he very much used christian ideas of deliverance and sacrifice the way he was think about ordering the world.
