The Rise of Class Politics in Academia

There is more room in academia for class politics than there has been in the past, but fundamentally it's a kind of faux culturalist radicalism that predominates. I find it interesting to slice and dice people in different ways and to look at different groups of people. Republicans and Democrats maybe doesn't make as much sense as it used to. Do you have any ways that you like to view the world or America or the population in that might help illuminate some stuff?
