Being 'done through' means being animated by the Holy Spirit and listening to only one voice and having only one purpose. And then everything that the body seems to say and do is coming from the Holy Spirit.
There's no person that has to figure out how to be 'done through', it's happening just from your prayer in your heart, just from your desire. When you pray and say Holy Spirit - Jesus, use me! Being 'done through' is an expression of that.
So when you talk about being 'done through' there's no personality self that really is deciding what it's going to do today. There's really no personality self that can decide things in the world. Am I going to be single or married? Am I going to live in this country or that country? Am I going to study this spirituality or that spirituality? No, the one that seems to be deciding the things of the world is the ego. And it's a joke, Jesus says, it's a joke to think that time can come to circumvent eternity. It's like you're trying to box in eternal life.
