The Importance of Test Scores in Admissions to Elite Schools
A new study looked at the admissions process and admission rates at Ivy League schools. It found that even when you control four things like SAT scores, the 1% is overrepresented. That's because they score well on non-academic qualities such as extracurricular activities.
