The idea that the paw is a part of the cat is something that I think comes intuitively to a lot of us. People might not be aware that there are formal ways of describing those things, those types of relationships. So much of this is subconscious, that on a day to day basis, you don't even have to think about that. But when you're making very complex systems like an e-commerce website or a very extensive library, the common user may not think of that.
My guest today is Ren Pope. Ren is a Principal at Info-Do, which offers data, information, and knowledge architecture consulting. He’s worked in these domains for the last 25 years or so, and has also taught colleagues how to do these things through workshops and presentations.
