The Case of Bill Maguire

Bill Maguire's body was found in Chesapeake Bay on May 26, 2004. His fingerprints were a match to the dismembered remains discovered that day. He had been missing since April 29 when he left his New Jersey apartment after an argument with his wife Melanie. She filed for divorce and said she suspected Bill of having an affair or leaving their children at her parents' care. Detectives interviewed co-workers who described him as a model employee whose life insurance policy paid out over $227,000 per year.
