The Redundancy of the Term Lived Experience
The term L'expernions vécou entered philosophical discourse through phenomenology by way of French. Different philosophers ran with it in different directions, some searching for structures of subjective experience that all humans have in common independently of time and place. Others began questioning whether the lived experience of members of specific groups actually should force us to rethink our assumption that human experience is one.
