The Importance of Having a Bible

There were collections of biblical texts in kind of book form as early as the third or the fourth and fifth centuries. Having a Bible can sort of, well, actually there are a number of ways in which having Bibles prevents us from reading biblical texts well. It's easy to assume that because we're holding one book, all these texts that are in it are just equivalent.
