The cases you mention, tyler, are the good news cases where debt was brought under control by a combination of growth, primary surpluses and a some inflation. But i mean that those are the outliers. In most cases, countries that endup with debts in excess of a hundred % of g d p end up with either some kind of very painful contractionry process, or with inflation that spirals out of control.
