The US Wants to Speed Up Arms Sales to Taiwan
The 2023 NDAA includes $3 billion in unprecedented military aid for Taiwan. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has said that he wants to use the $1 billion in drawdown authority. The China committee is expected to work to get these funds appropriated, whether it's next year or this year.
