Philosophy of Science: Function, Purpose, and Design

Philosophy of science has this very, very aggressive focus on conceptual understanding. It tries to take a robust vision of what is happening in the actual science that's relevant to those conceptual functions. And I think that's much more true in psychiatry where there are still such very basic mysteries like how do we decide you know what's normal or abnormal?
