My dad actually was, I think he worked as part of one of his university placements in Pripyat before anything happened in Chernobyl. He just would tell me all these stories about the forest that's around the actual nuclear power plant and he said that it was like this beautiful forest on the border with Belarus. And at that point, obviously, we didn't know that Russia's first couple of days of invading Ukraine would be total shambles.
