The Risks of Giving FFP to a Patient With Cirrhosis Prior Procedure
The risk of an allergic or anaphylactic transfusion reaction, we're talking less than 0.001% for FFP transfusion. For trolley, the data is harder to pin down, but the risk is still fairly low. The risk is so low that it's hard to say it's reckless or negligent to give FFP to a patient with cirrhosis prior procedure based upon that information alone. We do need to keep in mind the risk isn't zero.
