Can You or Like Rust as a High-Level Language?

Rust is more about the architecture of the stream processing system rather than low-level optimizations. I think that's an interesting contrast to what you generally see in like a C++ conference, which is a lot of high performance techniques and library support for such things. There's nothing really stopping you from using rust for high-level purposes there's no manual memory management that you need to be concerned about. It will still be there because it's still great for focusing on those low-level performance issues but you can use it as a high-level language if you want to.
