Sin, Original Sin, Ruins the Body
The body no longer communicates our personhood and our desires as purely as it was created to do. Sin, in other words, introduces acute essence, which is a threat to the whole structure of the person because it's a threat to self mastery. With sin, the body in some ways revolves against the person. Even the saint, even the 80 year old cloistered religious nun still experiences that revolt.
