If Disney sells ABC, it all of a sudden is less appealing to the NBA. Owning ABC or owning free form on its own is not as valuable as having multiple cable networks that you can leverage for increased carriage fees. Apple, Amazon, Google with YouTube could come in and become a partner in ESPN,. Help offset the costs of the sports rights, which are onerous.
