It seems to me that if you did a hundred randomized controlled trials and every one of them confirmed that vitamin D is highly correlated with good outcomes is Still still it would tell you nothing about whether you should take more vitamin D. There are two hypotheses One hypothesis is that people in poor health have bad outcomes and people in bad health have low vitamin D.
