What Happened to the Hostages?
Some of the indian andmalasian passengers managed to get out relatively quickly. At one stage, after missus thatcher accused sedam of hiding behind the skirts of women and children, he decided to release some of the women and some of the children. But a lot of the men were there for am up to five months in very grim ditions. And in some cases, the wives stayed with them. They actually got out just before desert storm started. Nobody knows why. I mean, you know, he was a madman.
