Saint Jerome's Temptations
Saint Jerome spoke of a young man who, lying very delicately upon a soft mattress, tied there by silk scarves, was provoked by all sorts of indecent touches and allurements. The wicked spirit had permission from God to assault the purity of this holy virgin with all his power, provided always that he did not touch her. Saint Catherine of Sianna's own temptations in a similar matter will illustrate the subject. So let's say a prayer and start in, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
