Human Dignity Arguments - Is There a Logic to It?

i worry that when people appeal to human dignity, they're not fully investigating the cringe reaction. They're just kind of, they're just reifying it and saying, whell i, i've cringed. And that means there's something immoral going on here. But could be wary of consequentialist arguments as well.
