The Origins of Fascism

Fascism was also seen as the path that rejected both capitalism and communism. The concept that fascism represented a third way outside of the two dominant systems was core to early fascist movements. Fascism worshipped violence as a way to cleanse and purify the state, to remove those that would not support fascist ideas. In the early years, this violence was committed by paramilitary groups that would spring up in nations like Italy and Germany. They believed that instead their violence would lead to a better system.
