In 2018 there was 353 homicides in Philadelphia. A 12% increase from 2017. There was 1147 non fatal gun shootings, 302 fatal shooting victims and that was just in 2018. 91% of the victims were male, 83% were black and more than half were in the age range of 18 to 30.
