The other common objection to larger portfolio sizes is it somehow means that you don't have conviction, your quote unquote spray and pray investing. So it requires an investor to admit that they don't have this magic intuition. And a lot of VCs are positioning themselves as knowing something magical and secret because they don't want to be in a position to admit otherwise.
