The History of Mars - Part 1

Mars was discovered in the prehistoric period, before the development of writing. People been staring up at the night sky ever since there have been people. The natural human tendency to see patterns in things led them to identify the patterns of stars that we now refer to as constellations. In previous episodes, we've discussed how there is evidence that le were already talking about the constellation of ursa major, the great bear, at least 15 thousand years ago.
